Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open the browser.

  4. Find the General tab and click it.
  5. Type in your homepage address in the box and click OK to save the changes.
  6. Press Alt+T once more and click Add-ons.
  7. Select Extensions in the menu on the left and mark which item you want to remove.
  8. Click Remove to delete the toolbar.
  9. Exit the Add-ons Manager and click on the search provider icon in the upper-right side.
  10. Click Manage Search Engines and select the search engine which you want to delete.
  11. Click Remove in order to delete it.
  12. Select a new search engine from the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner.

Google Chrome

  1. Open the browser.
  2. Press Alt+F to access the menu and click Tools.
  3. Select Extensions from the menu.
  4. Find the extension you want to delete from the list and click on the recycle bin icon to delete it.
  5. Click Settings in the menu on the left.
  6. Click Manage search engines in the section Search.
  7. Select a new search engine from the list and click Make Default.
  8. Select the search engine which you want to delete and click X.
  9. Click the Done button to save the changes.
  10. Under the On Startup section mark Open a specific page or set of pages and click Set pages.
  11. Select another URL or add a new page and click OK.
