Ransoc Screenlocker Removal Guide

Do you know what Ransoc Screenlocker is?

As its name clearly suggests, Ransoc Screenlocker is a serious malware infection that is indeed a screen locker Trojan. This malicious program can be considered dangerous for one reason: It can be very deceiving and convincing. Our researchers have found that this Trojan does not encrypt or lock your files in fact, but it does do its research on your system trying to find any illegal content that it can rub into your face in the form of a legal warning-looking frightening message on your screen. This warning could have a shocking effect as you may actually have some downloaded files, such as programs, movies, and photos that could fall into the “from questionable source” category. Would you dare to call the cops and report this malicious attack? We do not think so; and, this is what these crooks also believe. You are also threatened with court trial and your sensitive materials shared with the public if you do not pay a certain amount, which could be different for all victims. We believe that there is only one way out of this severe threat: You need to remove Ransoc Screenlocker.

This malware infection does not seem to travel in spam e-mails as a malicious attachment as a lot of Trojans and most ransomware programs do. Instead, its creators may utilize Exploit Kits (e.g., RIG and Angler). This distribution method is quite dangerous because the infection happens silently, without you noticing it, which is the most important factor for Trojans in general, i.e., not to be discovered while they are operating on your system. These kits are used on fake webpages that are created with the sole purpose of dropping infections onto your machine. You need to know that loading such a page in your browser is more than enough to trigger the malicious code and download this or any other Trojan infection in the background. The only way for you to protect your system from this kind of attack apart from installing a proper malware remover is to update your browsers and drivers frequently, and do this from official sources. Otherwise, you are left with but one choice: You must delete Ransoc Screenlocker.

The other possibility for you to infect your system with this vicious program is to click on an unsafe third-party commercial ad. This can happen mainly in two ways. First, you may end up on a questionable websites, for example, after searching the net for a free program. Certain websites, which are run by schemers and cyber criminals, are filled with potentially harmful third-party contents. If you land on such a malicious website, such as a freeware and torrent page, you may easily click on the wrong content and end up with this infection on your computer or even a whole bundle of malware threats. We suggest that you avoid such pages and clicking on random third-party contents. Second, there could be ad-supported programs already on your system and these may generate such infectious ads. No matter how this screen locker Trojan appeared on your computer, you should not hesitate to act once it reveals itself: Delete Ransoc Screenlocker if you want to restore your system.

This malware program collects all kinds of information about you and the files you have downloaded from the web. It may look into all your chat messages, including data from Skype, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles. Mostly, this infection is after any illegal or questionable content you may store on your hard drive. Once its dirty job is done, this Trojan pops up its legal warning message window on your screen that locks your computer practically since you cannot close it. In order to protect itself from being killed, this malware infection blocks all your attempts to launch your Task Manager, Registry Editor, and MSConfig as well.

This warning is quite convincing since it uses your personal data and bits of other information found on your computer. In certain cases victims may also find a Google map attached showing their physical location based on the IP address. Facing such a window on your screen could have a shocking effect; mostly, because you are threatened that unless you pay the demanded fee, “all collected data will be made public and the case goes to trial.” Now, this sounds pretty scary, right? Of course, you should not fall for this trick and start worrying because your files are not encrypted as they would be in the case of a ransomware infection. All you need to do is remove Ransoc Screenlocker if you want to stop this nightmarish program. So let us tell you how you can do that.
