Quick Start Removal Guide

Do you know what Quick Start is?

Quick Start is a browser extension which can be installed onto Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers. The application does not have an official download page, and so it is not surprising to discover it bundled with other software. Unfortunately, this application can be installed silently alongside malicious programs. Due to this, we recommend that you delete Quick Start from the PC as soon as you discover that it is running without your authorization. Alongside the suspicious plugin you may need to remove Key-Find.com or Webssearches browser hijackers. Continue reading to learn more about these dangerous threats.

If Quick Start has been installed onto the PC without your knowledge, a browser hijacker could have been installed as well. The suspicious istart.webssearches.com is a search provider developed by EMG Technology Limited. Even though this search tool looks authentic and provides authentic search results, it has been discovered that it can replace the home page and the default search provider of your web browsers. Most computer users are surprised by the suspicious search tool, and some click a new tab expecting to find the regular search engine that they know how to use. This is when Quick Start is opened.Quick Start Removal GuideQuick Start screenshot

At the top of the Quick Start page you are provided with the local weather forecast, and this means that the browser hijacker or the extension can determine your geographical location. This also suggests that the program could discover other potentially private information. The extension provides easy-access links to the Most Visited and Favorite sites, presents recommended pages and displays the Game Center. If you visit 337.com, games.337.com, and other promoted sites, you will be asked to register for certain services. This might be risky, and so you should think carefully before you register.

The most important feature of the Quick Start plugin is the search box in the middle. The entered search queries might route you to searches.safehomepage.com/search developed by Hafei Infinity Technology Co., search.webssearches.com, and other suspicious search engines. We do not recommend using them, unless you are sure that they are 100% safe. All in all, we advise having Quick Start removed from the browsers, and you can do this using the manual removal guides below. If you have discovered the plugin on IE, known as IETabPage Class, make sure you install automatic malware removal software to delete it.
