Step 2: change the browser settings

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Launch Firefox and simultaneously tap Alt+T.
  2. Select Options and click the General tab.
  3. Overwrite/remove the provided Home Page and click OK.
  4. Move the cursor to the search box at the top-right corner of the page.
  5. Click the represented icon and select Manage Search Engines.
  6. Click the unwanted search provider.
  7. Select Remove and click OK.

Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch IE and simultaneously tap Alt+T.
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and click Search Providers (menu on the left).
  3. Remove the undesirable search provider and click Close.
  4. Simultaneously tap Alt+T again and click Internet Options.
  5. Click the General tab and navigate to Home Page.
  6. Overwrite/remove the provided URL and click OK.
