Ekxdvft Toolbar is the most recent version of the Zlob.Trojan group's malicious toolbars. Ekxdvft Toolbar is similar to other Zlob Trojan toolbars where it has a set of icons such as Scan Spyware, Spam Protection, Remove Popups, and Security Test. Ekxdvft Toolbar does not actually offer any of these legitimate services but instead displays false alerts and system warnings. Ekxdvft Toolbar is usually distributed by the Media Star Trojan and Video Access Codec.
In non-techie terms: Ekxdvft Toolbar may display random popup messages such as "Warning: possible spyware or adware infection! Click here to scan your computer for spyware and adware" Do not under any circumstances click on any messages or popus that Ekxdvft Toolbar may generate. Ekxdvft Toolbar is not a legitimate toolbar offering security functions.
