  1. Simultaneously tap Win+R keys on your keyboard to launch RUN.
  2. Enter Control Panel to open a menu and then move to Uninstall a program.
  3. Right-click the program you wish to remove and select Uninstall.

Step 2: delete from browsers/delete Ask Search

Delete from Internet Explorer

  1. Launch the browser, tap Alt+T, and click Manage Add-ons.
  2. Go to Search Providers and select/add the desired search provider.
  3. Remove the undesirable search provider and click Close.
  4. Tap Alt+T again and select Internet Options.
  5. Click the General tab, edit/remove the Home Page URL, and click OK.

Delete from Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Launch the browser, tap Alt+T, and select Options.
  2. Move to the menu on the left and click General.
  3. Edit/remove the Home Page URL.
  4. Go back to the menu on the left and click Search.
  5. Remove the unwanted search provider.
  6. Tap Ctrl+Shift+A to launch the Add-ons Manager.
  7. Move to the menu on the left and click Extensions.
  8. Identify the unwanted add-on and click the Remove button next to it.

Delete from Google Chrome

  1. Launch the browser, tap Alt+F, and select Settings.
  2. Navigate to On Startup and select Open a specific page or set of pages.
  3. Click Set pages and edit/remove the URL of the unwanted tool.
  4. Navigate to Appearance and select Show Home button.
  5. Click Change and edit/remove the URL of the unwanted tool.
  6. Navigate to Search and click Manage search engines.
  7. Select/add the desired search provider.
  8. Remove the unwanted provider by clicking the X on its URL.
  9. Move to the menu on the left and click Extensions.
  10. Identify the unwanted add-on, click the recycle bin, and select Remove.
