BeautyMost Removal Guide

Do you know what BeautyMost is?

BeautyMost is a potentially unwanted program that is very similar to NewsCert and Moneyzila, both of which are PUPs that might require removal as well. The distribution of these programs is very unpredictable, and our research team warns that they could hide in any bundle. Software bundling is a popular technique that malware distributors often use to spread malicious computer infections. Although a PUP is not a malicious infection, per se, it can be dangerous, and trusting it is not what we recommend. In the worst case scenario, this seemingly harmless program could expose you to malicious links and redirect you to malicious websites, which is exactly why we advise removing it. If you do not know why you should delete BeautyMost, or you are looking for more information about this strange program, you should continue reading this report.

Members of our research team have thoroughly analyzed BeautyMost and found that it can come packaged with third-party malware when you interact with third-party software installers. We have found that it could come bundled with Search Know (adware), Sweet-page.com (hijacker), MyPCBackUp (PUP), and other suspicious, potentially unreliable programs that deserve immediate removal. It is also possible for this PUP to be promoted via modified search results. If a browser hijacker has corrupted your browsers, you could be offered this program in a misleading manner. If this is how this PUP was introduced to you, you MUST scan your operating system right away to figure out of other unreliable programs also await removal. Once installed, this program is represented via the Beauty Most user interface that loads various health and beauty-related websites, including samplesandsavings.com, urthbox.com, and kinsahealth.com. It is notable that these sites are authentic; however, we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to malicious websites representing malware installers and devious phishing scams.BeautyMost Removal GuideBeautyMost screenshot

Since BeautyMost is only compatible with Internet Explorer, it is not surprising that this PUP opens a new Internet Explorer window without any permission to redirect to pages via the searchcactus.com server to show various online deals and offers. For example, you could be shown surveys and prize giveaways requiring you to enter and share personal information. If you choose to share your personal information, you HAVE to check the privacy policies associated with the services you are using. In extreme cases, you could find that your personal information will be collected and shared with other parties who might have malicious intentions! We are sure you do not want your personal information leaked to unreliable parties, and that is why you have to keep away from scams and web forms capable of collecting data. Depending on your location, redirecting via lamphouseoffers.com/redirect.php?sid=BMS&message=Please%20wait could be initiated as well. You could be routed to sites associated with casino, surveys, online offers, games, etc.

If you have installed BeautyMost, you will find this program installed in its own folder under C:\Program Files\ (or C:\Program Files (x86)\). BeautyMost.exe, unins000.dat, unins000.exe, and uninstall.ico are the files that you will find in this folder, and you can delete them. If you do, you will also need to delete the registry entries associated with this potentially unwanted program. Here is the list of all registry entries that the PUP creates. Note that if you choose to delete them, you have to check the {715F39E8-2873-42AC-8D63-D257299D856A}_is1 CLSID to make sure that it contains data associated with BeautyMost.
