  4. Navigate to Appearance.

  6. Navigate to Search.
  7. Click Manage search engines, select a new search provider and remove (X) the unwanted one. Click OK.
  8. From the menu on the left select Extensions.
  9. Locate the unwanted add-on, click the trash icon on its right and select Remove

Internet Explorer:

  1. Launch IE, simultaneously tap Alt+T and select Internet Options.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Remove/overwrite the unwanted URL under Home Page and click OK.
  4. Tap Alt+T once more and select Manage Add-ons.
  5. Select Toolbars and Extensions and Disable the undesirable add-on.
  6. Select Search Providers and Remove the undesirable provider.
  7. Click Close.
