Websearch.searchguru.info Removal Guide

Do you know what Websearch.searchguru.info is?

If Websearch.searchguru.info has been set as the home page and default search engine of active web browsers without your knowledge, there is no doubt that a browser hijacker is running on the PC. This infection can slow down your web connection, enable the attack of irritating adware and cause web browsing issues. If you do not delete Websearch.searchguru.info from the system quickly, you will not be able to use your home page and search provider appropriately. Why should you not use this seemingly authentic search engine? First of all because the browser hijacker could have entered the system illegally, which is a sign that it could be dangerous. Secondly, the search engine does not provide original search results, meaning that it reroutes you to a new source in order to satisfy your need for information. This activity is quite suspicious, and so the removal of the hijacker is strongly recommended.

Our researchers have analyzed the infection and discovered that it belongs to the family of infections all of which share the ‘websearch’ in the beginning of the URL and the same misleading interface. Some examples of such browser hijackers include Websearch.search-guide.info, Websearch.good-results.info and Websearch.pur-esult.info. If you have discovered these suspicious search tools attached to your browsers and you have not given permission for them to exist, you certainly need to delete them without further hesitations. Note that even if the hijacker provides you with Google search results, you cannot trust it because components related to it could be used to track your virtual activity and to spy on you. If you need reassurance that the infection is running on the computer you can install the free SpyHunter’s scanner to discover whether the threats are running and whether you need to delete them.
