QuizScope Removal Guide

Do you know what QuizScope is?

Although QuizScope promises personalized horoscope readings, we do not classify it as a useful app. Instead, we classify it as an advertising-supported program. As stated in the "About" section of this app at quizscope.com/about, it shows advertisements in exchange for providing you with supposedly free services. If you have checked this information before installing this adware, you must expect ads to pop up whenever you browse the web. Of course, if you have downloaded this program without researching it thoroughly, you might be surprised that it can introduce you to suspicious third-party offers. If you want to stop the flood of ads – and we recommend this for reasons that we discuss in this report – you should immediately remove QuizScope from your PC. We have tested this adware in our internal lab, and now we can provide you with a removal guide that works.

At the moment, QuizScope only works with Internet Explorer. Based on the information represented in the “Uninstall” section on the official website, other browsers could have been affected in the past as well. If you have previously installed this adware on Chrome or Firefox browsers, you need to eliminate it as well. All in all, at the moment, it functions only on IE, and its distribution is quite strange. The official website does not promote an installer, which suggests that there is another channel. It is unlikely that an alternate site has been set up to represent this program; however, it is probable that third-party installers will take the responsibility of spreading this adware across the web. This is not only suspicious but also very dangerous as third-party installers might bundle serious infections. Was your PC infected with malware when downloading QuizScope? If you are not sure about this – and you have to be sure that you do not need to delete other threats – immediately install a trusted malware scanner.QuizScope Removal GuideQuizScope screenshot

The security of your operating system is vulnerable if programs like QuizScope are active. Although this program might promise great services, and the ads it shows seem harmless, you need to treat every link introduced to you as a security backdoor. Interacting with online advertisements is always risky, but it is highly risky when they are shown by unpredictable, suspicious programs. Advertisements might hide scams that could trick you into revealing personal data and spending money on useless products. Malicious ads could also provide fake installers hiding malware. Ads could promote worthless deals and boost traffic to harmless sites as well, but you cannot forget that malicious, corrupted ads could be presented to you as well. Furthermore, interacting with ads could lead to the installation of tracking cookies that might collect and transfer personally identifiable information. Although the cookies of QuizScope might be incapable of recording personal data, they could share information regarding your browsing history with third parties, including advertisers.

Is QuizScope beneficial? Although this program promises beneficial services, it is not that useful. You can easily check your horoscopes for free, and you do not need to install unpredictable software for that. On top of that, even if you find this app useful, the ads it injects and the cookies it uses are unpredictable. Do you want to encounter potentially misleading advertisements every time you launch your browser? If you do not, delete this ad-supported program right now. We suggest implementing an automated remover to clean your PC, especially because this adware is known to travel in bundles (i.e., possibly with other malicious infections) and because it might affect different browsers. If you choose to erase it manually, follow the guide below.
