Packed.Morphine.D Removal Guide

Do you know what Packed.Morphine.D is?

Packed.Morphine.D is a trojan that is also known as BHO.CVX. Packed.Morphine.D hijacks your IE browser and redirects you to a predefined website. If you're infected with Packed.Morphine.D, you'll most likely get the following warning message from your anti-spyware program: Threat detected! D3dpmesho.dll Virus identified as Packed.morphine.d.. This warning message means that you're infected with BHO.CVX.

Packed.Morphine.D may prove difficult to remove because it has the ability to reappear after reboot.

In non-techie terms: Distributors of trojans conduct illicit installation methods to extort money from you. Be careful when you remove Packed.Morphine.D because even some anti-spyware programs can have a hard time removing it. If the anti-spyware program that you're currently using is not able to remove Packed.Morphine.D, try SmitFraudFix for free and let me know if it worked you. Post your experience with Packed.Morphine.D or SmitFraudFix.

I followed the instructions listed above, both using the script and manual removal. Maybe the one I have is a variation of the one you speak of. None of my files not evern registry entries are allowed to be deleted as Administrator. Administrator is owner to these files too and can't do anything.

    Funny hu?

I also tried the instructions and also had the same problems with "access denied" when trying to remove the offending dll files.
The only thing that allowed me to remove the files permanently was running the program Combofix.exe.

Read this article from UK site:

Downloaded and ran free for home use of Dr Web Anti virus CureIt. I had 3 infections notified by AVG free: Obfustat.ACRR; BHO.cvx and packed.morphine.d. Dr Web CureIt was happily scanning when spybot search and destroy notified a change to the registry which, when agreed, caused the system to freeze. After re boot which was noticably quicker, AVG free could only find packed.morphine.d which it could now remove! I have just completed a full AVG scan and appear to be clear!

This infection has been a real stubborn pain and has caused untold anguish...I hope this works for you.
