Facts Right Removal Guide

Do you know what Facts Right is?

Looking for an application that would satisfy your curiosity? As tempting as Facts Right might sound, we advise you not to use it. Although this program provides information, you cannot call it facts as what it displays are ads promoting various services and products. As a result, it is classified as an adware application by computer security specialists. From the first look, it would seem that all it does is showing tons of ads, but this program can work on its own without you noticing it. Also, this adware is considered dangerous as it can manipulate web page content and display fake links to unreliable websites. If you continue reading, you will learn more about how it works and how it might harm your computer. Luckily, it can be deleted with some patience and at the end of this article, you will find our carefully prepared instructions for its removal.

The application itself is hosted on the 50.63.202.1 IP address, which is located in Arizona, Scottsdale, and belongs to GoDaddy.com, a well-known Internet domain registrar and web hosting company. However, Facts Right was created by the Leto Elite, a company that creates applications very similar to the SuperWeb family adware. Also, Facts Right has a lot of clones: Roaming Rate, Dragon Branch, Record Page, etc. Given what we have just learned about this program, it does seem rather untrustworthy. To make matters worse, this application settles in your system through bundled software that comes from unreliable file-sharing websites. This adware exploits a well-known fact that many users go with automatic installation while adding new programs on their computer. In other words, you skip advanced settings on the setup wizard and so you cannot deselect programs that have come bundled together. We are led to this conclusion because factsright.com has no download link; it only displays End User License Agreement (EULA) and Privacy Policy. In fact, there is also a possibility to contact the Facts Right creators by sending them a message, but for that, you must enter your name, email, and phone number. This information is called “User Submitted Information” in Privacy Policy, meaning that they can gather and use it as you give it voluntarily. It does not matter that you installed the application unknowingly, as far as they know you have agreed with EULA and Privacy Policy terms.Facts Right Removal GuideFacts Right screenshot

Usually, EULA and Privacy Policy documents are very useful as they can tell you all about the program. For example, Facts Right states that “By installing the Software, you authorize the Software to automatically, and without further notice to you, download and install upgrades, updates, new versions, releases, fixes, and enhancements; enable additional features or functionality; open browser windows and tabs; temporarily redirect your online destination; and modify or manipulate webpage content in order to display advertisements and other content.” We have no doubt, that if you have read this before installing the program, you would have never allowed such actions. It says that they can modify or manipulate web page content. For example, they could replace your favorite e-shop’s ads and shopping offers with their own. Importantly, the ads that Facts Right show you belong to a Third Party and they are considered to be unreliable. For you, it might seem that these ads can be only irritating, but they can redirect you to websites promoting fake products or services. So if you try to buy some fake product you will expose your sensitive information to cyber criminals and later it could be used to steal money from your bank account. Obviously, you cannot control Facts Right’s actions or the content it displays; however, you can delete this adware from your computer and protect it from harm.

As we have mentioned before, you can use our instructions if you need any help with Facts Right removal. To get rid of it, you will have to find it in your Control Panel and uninstall it. Also, this adware affects only the Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers, and it can be simply deleted as extensions. Despite that, it leaves many junk files that must be eliminated manually, which might take some time. We assure you that spending a few minutes while removing this potentially harmful program will be worth it as you will be able to browse safely again.
