Do you know what DiscountPlace is?
Judging from its name, DiscountPlace is supposed to be an application that should help you find various discounts on popular online stores. This extension is compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers. However, this application may cause more harm than do any good. DiscountPlace could be exploited by cybercriminals to promote their corrupted content. That is not to say that this adware application is a malicious computer security threat, but it would be for the best if you removed DiscountPlace from the system immediately.
Sometimes users might get tricked by DiscountPlace into thinking that this application can help you find the best deals online. After all, the official website for this application at discountplace.info says that with DiscountPlace you can “enjoy the convenience of shopping online and choosing from a selection of great deals right in your own Web browser.” It might seem that this application could make your online shopping a perfect experience, but the problem is that we know that it would never happen.DiscountPlace screenshot

The reason is that DiscountPlace is part of a semi-random name adware family, and it has an extensive list of predecessors that have been plaguing user computers around the world for quite some time now. Considering its infiltration methods and behavior, DiscountPlace is practically identical to QueenCoupon, RocketCoupon, Deal4me and a lot of other adware programs from the same group.
What is more, even if it were possible for you to come across the main website while you browse the web, the direct download link does not work. Almost all of the applications from this family get distributed bundled with freeware through third-party installers. DiscountPlace usually enters target computers via InstallRex or Amonetize installers (sometimes Vittalia installers as well). Users often end up installing DiscountPlace onto their computers when they click fake download buttons on torrent and other file sharing websites. It simply shows that you have to be careful when you install new applications on your computer.
DiscountPlace will spam your browser with constant pop-up advertisements that will slow down your internet connection. Some of the advertisements will contain outgoing link to unreliable websites, and that is why you should NEVER click DiscountPlace ads. That is not to say that this application tries to infect your computer with malware on purpose. However, such a possibility remains, so the sooner you remove DiscountPlace from your system, the better.
After manual removal, do not forget to scan your PC with SpyHunter free scanner. You are bound to have more adware applications installed, so you need to get rid of them all as well. Make sure you install a reliable antispyware tool that would protect your system from harm.
