The official sources include the Chrome Web Store, and AllConvertersSearch clearly has a page there, too. The page on the Chrome Web Store says that this application is “the best way to search.” It also informs you that this extension “changes your Chrome’s Default Search. Optimized Search Results powered by Yahoo.” So, it doesn’t hide the fact that it modifies your search settings. If you skip this information, it might look like AllConvertersSearch is a browser hijacker of sorts, but that’s not the case.

The information on the Chrome Web Store also suggests that “this extension lets you browse the web and get easy access to search, images, videos, and news. This is a single purpose extension.” Judging from this, it doesn’t seem like AllConvertersSearch can give you anything fancy. It really works like your regular search engine. Also, the extension is bound to log your browsing history records, figuring out your search keywords, so that it could generate information about your likes and preferences.
These extensions are often involved in third-party advertising, so the longer AllConvertersSearch remains on your computer, the bigger is the chance that you will see multiple advertisements when you browse the web. These advertisements are bound to be related to your latest search history, thus increasing the chances that you will interact with them. Needless to say, you should do no such thing. Interacting with a third-party commercial content may result in personal data leak and sometimes, even in a malware infection.
