AllConvertersSearch Removal Guide

Do you know what AllConvertersSearch is?

AllConvertersSearch is a Chrome extension that should provide you with a useful function. Unfortunately, this application is a potentially unwanted program. Thus, it may display a variety of behavioral patterns that can be quite annoying and sometimes even dangerous. It doesn’t mean, however, that AllConvertersSearch is a malicious infection. Such programs are not sophisticated enough to pass for one, and they are easy to remove, as long as you know what you are doing. If you need help with that, please scroll to the bottom of this entry and follow the removal guidelines.

We have actually talked about similar applications many times before. For instance, VideozSearchs, SearchConverterHD, and SearchGamez are also Chrome extensions that are considered potentially unwanted, and we have discussed them previously on this site, too. It’s also very likely that all of those apps are developed by the same party, and they just keep on getting released one by one, as they are very similar. Also, it is possible for these apps to have a short lifespan, but if this one no longer works, you can really apply the removal instructions to almost any other application from the same group – they are just that alike.

They are also alike in the way they spread around. We always emphasize that there are official and unofficial distribution sources. The official sources include the Chrome Web Store, and AllConvertersSearch clearly has a page there, too. The page on the Chrome Web Store says that this application is “the best way to search.” It also informs you that this extension “changes your Chrome’s Default Search. Optimized Search Results powered by Yahoo.” So, it doesn’t hide the fact that it modifies your search settings. If you skip this information, it might look like AllConvertersSearch is a browser hijacker of sorts, but that’s not the case.AllConvertersSearch Removal GuideAllConvertersSearch screenshot

The information on the Chrome Web Store also suggests that “this extension lets you browse the web and get easy access to search, images, videos, and news. This is a single purpose extension.” Judging from this, it doesn’t seem like AllConvertersSearch can give you anything fancy. It really works like your regular search engine. Also, the extension is bound to log your browsing history records, figuring out your search keywords, so that it could generate information about your likes and preferences.

These extensions are often involved in third-party advertising, so the longer AllConvertersSearch remains on your computer, the bigger is the chance that you will see multiple advertisements when you browse the web. These advertisements are bound to be related to your latest search history, thus increasing the chances that you will interact with them. Needless to say, you should do no such thing. Interacting with a third-party commercial content may result in personal data leak and sometimes, even in a malware infection.

Aside from ignoring these commercials, you should also stay away from websites that are bound to distribute AllConvertersSearch and other similar apps. Those websites usually contain a lot of pop-up ads, and users end up clicking various buttons to close the pop-ups. They don’t realize that by clicking some button, they add AllConvertersSearch to their browser. Hence, it often seems that such extensions get added to the browser accidentally, but all of that is just a result of negligence. We all have to be careful about what we download and what we open. Just because the pop-up or some redirect window looks annoying, it’s still not a good reason to click anywhere on it. Simply close such windows using the Alt+F4 command or by clicking the X button at the top right.

As for AllConvertersSearch, you can remove it by resetting your browser settings to default. That will also remove all the other potentially unwanted apps from the browser. If there are more unwanted programs on-board, but you don’t know how to recognize them, consider scanning your PC with the SpyHunter free scanner. A full system scan will identify all the potential threats, and you will be able to remove them at once. Investing in a powerful security tool is a good idea because it will help you protect your system and your personal data from various threats in the future.
