Do you know what QuickLogin is?
QuickLogin is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that works on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. The application was classified like this because it may replace user’s homepage or other browser’s settings. To learn more about this behavior, you should read the rest of this report. It will explain how to get rid of the PUP manually from both of the browsers it is compatible with. However, if you do not feel up to the task, you could employ a reputable antimalware tool instead.
QuickLogin is available on Chrome Web Store page (chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/quicklogin/ojifkhgcgmapiocdplfoehalhhfcakhe), but our computer security experts also think it could travel with pop-ups and other unreliable advertisements or come as a redirect. In any case, receiving the PUP might mean that the user is not attentive enough when choosing new tools. We always advise reading expert reviews and researching the chosen program before installing it. Plus, it is always smart to keep a reputable antimalware tool installed, so it could warn about questionable applications as well as material that might be dangerous.
QuickLogin main purpose is to provide you with links to favorite email providers, but you can easily create such links yourself by bookmarking them. As a result, instead of the tool’s toolbar, you would use your browser’s bookmarks tab. Still, the effect should be the same. Also, the application’s description may say the PUP can save you from having to “type in long, hard to remember URL addresses,” but in reality, you do not have to since address bars of most browsers work like search engines. Thus, for example, to reach your Gmail account, you only need to type “gmail” into your browser’s address bar and click Enter.

After being added to the user’s browser, QuickLogin might change his start page and new tab page. Such changes could make the browser load searchmgr.com or some other search engine when it gets launched or when the user creates a new tab. After reading the PUP’s Privacy Policy (PP) paper, we found out the tool could collect information related to the user’s device, browser, browsing activities, and so on. Apparently, one of the ways the software’s creators might use such information is to serve users with targeted advertising material. It could be not only annoying but also possibly dangerous since QuickLogin developers take no responsibility for third-party content, which we learned while reading the extension’s End User License Agreement (EULA) paper. Provided you do not want to risk coming across such material we recommend erasing the PUP.

It will show how to access Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox extensions settings and erase the PUP. Instead of this, you could perform a full system scan too. - Launch Mozilla Firefox.
- Type about:addons into the address bar and click Enter.
- Look at the menu on the left side and pick Extensions.
- Look for QuickLogin and press Remove.
- Close your browser.

- Search for QuickLogin and click Remove.
