thanks for the information, i got it out of computer but can't delete from program files can you help me out with this. the remove and uninstall won t work. keeps coming up as system error when i try to uninstall. but hasn t popped back up yet. can you help me before it pops up and takes control of computer again thanks steve

im really happy..finally i can execute and kick out that Windows Anti Virus 2008 from my laptop.

delete off following the Value Names: WAV (Window Anti Virus)

Certain keys in the Registry tell Windows not allow users access to some features, such as RegEdit; these keys may be located in either or both Registry Hives HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE. If any of the following Value Names appear in any of the Keys and the Data Value equals 1 then RegEdit is disabled for your use. You need to either edit the Registry the Data Value to zero or delete the Value Name.

Key names: SOFTWARE\ Policies\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ SystemRestoreâ€¨Software\ Policies \Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\ Restrictions â€¨Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Policies\ System

Value names: DisableSR - DisableTaskMgr - DisallowRun - DisableRegistryTools - NoControlPanel

i cannot run regedit because administrator disabled it. it turned out that antispyspider rogue spyware remover set it up. i fixed the task manager. if i fix this regedit, then it would be gone. please help me.
